Well here I am again having yet another clutch failure in just under 8 weeks!!!
I thought it was too good to be true and hoping to be driving “the ultimate driving machine” without any further issue.
This could not have happend at a worse place, I had just got to the petrol station to fill up with diesel and low and behold
the clutch pedal would not release and subsequently burnt the clutch out.
I had to abandon the car to save the pyrotechnic charge on the battery killing all the power to the car, which really annoyed other drivers behind me, who instead gave abuse rather than asking if I needed help.
Thankfully the RAC only took 30 mins to arrive and off the car went to the dealership.

This happened to me on Friday evening after collecting a brand new BMW 1 Series Coupe just less than 48 hours earlier in March 2010 having only driven 57 miles!
I couldn't get out of the car, it filled with black smoke and an acrid smell.
The car then decided to totally shut down after several attempts the door decided to open.
Once out I called the Fire Brigade who then disconnected the battery due to possible electrical fault?
I had to wait in the pouring rain for over an hour for a recovery vehicle to collect the car because it would not lock!
Eventually the car was put on a low loader and the car is now back at the dealership in the workshop.
